About Julie Fleming

Julie Fleming, founder of Lex Innova Consulting, practiced patent litigation for more than a decade in firms of 2 to 2100 lawyers. Having seen firsthand the havoc that ensues without sufficient attention to bringing in new business, Julie left practice in 2005 to help an international clientele discover how to engage in productive business development activity and still feel good when they look in the mirror. The author of The Reluctant Rainmaker: A Guide for Lawyers Who Hate Selling, Julie currently serves as Vice Chair of the ABA Section of Science and Technology Law and is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation. In her spare time, Julie is working on a book about how women got the vote in Wyoming Territory in 1869.
